 October 25, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani companies carry out cargo transportation to 51 countries.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Subkhan Abilov, the head of the Cargo Transportation Department of the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (under the Ministry of Digital Development & Transport).

He noted that the farthest destinations for cargo transportation are China and Mongolia in the East and the UK in the West.

"This year, for the first time in the country's history, the exchange of "permit forms" with China, Pakistan and the UK was carried out, and international cargo transportation by road began," Agency’s representative stressed.

Abilov added that expansion of the geography of international cargo transportation and orientation to new markets are the main priorities of the Agency.

"Reforms in the field of international cargo transportation have simplified the access of carriers to permits. Now both legal entities and individuals can easily receive "authorization forms". In order to improve the quality of service, ensure transparency and accessibility when issuing "permit forms", services are provided to citizens in the houses of SMEs operating in Baku, Khachmaz and Yevlakh," Abilov said.
