September 11, Fineko/abc.az. The United States yesterday added one Russian and two companies from the Russian Federation, as well as nine Russian transport vessels to the sanctions lists, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

According to a document from the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Treasury (OFAC), the sanctions included, in particular, Wholesale Company VAFA LLC, Sea River Service LLC, which carry out maritime transport, as well as vessels belonging to these structures. In total, restrictions were imposed against nine vessels.

It is noted that appropriate measures were applied in connection with the situation in Ukraine.

Nine Iranian citizens and four Iranian companies were also included in the sanctions lists for allegedly helping the Russian Federation in connection with the operation in Ukraine. In particular, sanctions were imposed against the state-owned Iranian airline Iran Air.
