June 3, Fineko/abc.az. Persons involved in vocational training in Azerbaijan will be provided with a scholarship in the amount of 50% of the minimum wage.

ABC.AZ reports that this issue is reflected in the amendments to the Law on Employment, discussed at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Labor & Social Policy.

The document says that it is planned to amend Article 29 of the law regarding the establishment of a scholarship amount for persons involved in vocational training in the amount of 50% of the minimum wage. Thus, an annual increase in the minimum monthly wage in the country also leads to growth in the amount of the specified scholarship. This creates conditions for abuse by people with employment opportunities who prefer vocational training, although they do not need it, which creates obstacles for people who really need vocational training.
