Hungary starts buying gas from Türkiye

March 27, Fineko/abc.az. Hungary will start receiving Turkish natural gas on April 1, and the country will become the first country outside Türkiye’s neighbors to export its gas.

ABC.AZ reports that Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto made such a statement after negotiations with Turkish Minister of Energy & Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, held during Sochi international forum Atomexpo 2024.

Earlier, Hungary and Türkiye signed an agreement on the supply of 275 million cu m of Turkish gas in 2024. Fuel from Türkiye will arrive in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.
