February 12, Fineko/abc.az. The number of the unemployed in Türkiye aged 15 years and older in December 2023 declined by 12,000 people compared with the previous month — to 3.98 million people, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Statistical Office of Türkiye (TÜIK), which published labor force statistics for December 2023.

According to TÜIK, the unemployment rate fell by 0.1 points to 8.8%. The unemployment rate was 7.1% for men and 12% for women.

In December 2023, the number of employed people increased by 399,000 people compared with the previous month to 32.56 million people, and the employment rate grew by 0.6 points to 48.8%. This figure was 66.1% for men and 31.9% for women.

The number of workers in December 2023 increased by 387,000 people versus the previous month to 35.154 million people.
