January 31, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is working on joining the transit system within the European Union (EU).

ABC.AZ reports that Jafar Guluzade, the head of the Customs Control Department of the State Customs Committee (SCC), stated about this at the CEO MeetUp Logistics & Trade event organized by the Caspian Energy Club and the Association of Freight Forwarding Companies of Azerbaijan.

"The EU uses a computerized transit system. Azerbaijan has expressed its desire to join this convention. Our country has received unofficial observer status in Oslo, the capital of Norway. After completing the necessary procedures, the monitoring group will conduct an assessment," he said.
