January 17, Fineko/abc.az. The possibilities of exporting green energy from the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic to such a large market as Türkiye are being considered.

ABC.AZ reports that Javid Abdullayev, the director of the State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources, informed about this.

"It is necessary to discuss a large number of technical issues, agreements have been concluded between the operator of the transmission system of Azerbaijan and the relevant authority of the fraternal country," Abdullayev said.

He added that Nakhchivan has advantages in the field of "green energy": "There is also wind potential that can be used to balance the electricity generated from solar energy. Currently, a technical specification has been prepared for development of a special concept for creation of a green energy zone in Nakhchivan. Work is underway to select an international consulting company."
