December 12, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani car market has observed stagnation since the summer months, but activity resumed in the first week of December, ABC.AZ reports, quoting transport expert Eldaniz Jafarov.

He said that the last time prices rose in the market was in August:

"Official dealers and distributors offer a lot of discounts on New Year's Eve. The number of new cars on the market has increased. It is predicted that from the first quarter of next year, car prices in the country will rise. It is expected that older cars will mostly rise in price. Because restrictions have been imposed on the import of cars to Azerbaijan that were produced more than 10 years ago. Along with this, a recycling program is expected to be launched in the coming months, as well as collection of recycling fees. These factors will lead to higher prices for older cars. There are big differences between this year's autumn season and the same period of 2022. Last autumn, the country's car market was more active."
