Districts with the highest and lowest salaries in Azerbaijan

November 21, Fineko/abc.az. The average monthly nominal wage of employees in the country's economy for Jan-Sept 2023 increased by 11.2% compared with Jan-Sept 2022 and amounted to 919.8 manats.

As usual, the city with the highest average monthly salary is Baku, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee. So, in the capital, this indicator amounted to 1,167.9 manats. The second largest district is Dashkesan. The average monthly salary here is 955.7 manats.

Shusha takes 3rd place with 824.5 manats, Sumgait — 4th place with 817.5 manats and Gedabek - 5th place with 816 manats. After Gedabek, there are high salaries in Zangilan (786 manats), Shirvan (778 manats) and Gubadli. (757.6 manats).

The lowest average monthly salary in the country was recorded in the Gakh, Balakan and Zagatala districts. According to statistics as of October 1, 2023, the average monthly salary in Gakh was 498.4 manats, in Balaken — 521.7 manats, and in Zagatala district — 536.3 manats.
