October 24, Fineko/abc.az. The State Duma parliamentarians decided to indefinitely postpone consideration of the draft law on the recognition of national driving licenses of Armenian citizens in the Russian Federation when they carry out entrepreneurial and labor activities.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Chamber of the Russian parliament.

Yevgeny Moskvichev, the head of the State Duma Committee on Transport & Development of the transport structure, made a proposal to suspend consideration of the bill at the beginning of the plenary session. In his opinion, this initiative currently does not meet the interests of Russia.

In Russia, foreign driver's licenses are recognized only when using a personal car.

However, this rule does not apply to countries that are members of the Customs Union. Thus, the driving licenses of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, which are members of the Union, are recognized when carrying out entrepreneurial and labor activities.

That is, having a driver's license of these countries, a citizen could engage in private haulage and cargo transportation.
