October 18, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL) has clarified the matter of prices for air tickets.

ABC.AZ reports that Deputy Minister of Digital Development & Transport Rahman Gumbatov stated during the discussion of the new Draft Law on Aviation at a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship, that everyone is interested in the issue of prices in AZAL.

He added that prices in aviation fluctuate, even on the same day, on flights to the same place, in the same class, some prices fluctuate almost twice. In aviation, the cost of a seat-kilometer is considered as a mile as a unit of measurement: "The first factor affecting prices is the issue of fuel. If once AZAL was inferior in the price of fuel, now that fuel is bought at the world price, there are no benefits for AZAL. Another factor affecting prices is the cost of buying and maintaining an aircraft. In addition, employees, pilot, service also affect prices. The readiness of the cabin is determined by strict standards," the deputy minister stressed.
