October 11, Fineko/abc.az. Google pays $18-20 bn a year for its search to be installed by default in iPhone.
ABC.AZ reports that such an assessment was given by analysts of Bernstein.
An antitrust case against Google is currently being considered in the U.S., in which the Ministry of Justice is the plaintiff. Bernstein believes that Google will lose in court.
In this case, Google may be prohibited from paying other companies for its search to be used by default. For Apple, this could result in serious financial losses, because the contract with Google makes up 14-16% of Apple's annual operating profit. In addition, Google will have to terminate similar agreements with Samsung and Mozilla.
