September 15, Fineko/abc.az. This August’s activity in the automotive market of Azerbaijan was lower than in July, ABC.AZ reports, quoting transport expert Eldeniz Jafarov.
He said that although it is now the middle of September, activity in the market has not increased:
"There are no sharp changes in the price of both new and old cars. We expect that by the end of September, market activity will increase. Among the new ones last month, mini crossovers were preferred more than other cars. Hybrid cars are back on trend. But this does not mean they are sold more often. Again, gasoline-powered cars are in high demand. The market for old cars has not yet intensified. There is also demand mainly for sedans with gasoline engines. These are cars with engine capacity from 1,500 cu cm to 2,000 cu cm.”
In his turn, Eyub Aliyev, executive director of the Association of Automobile Dealers of Azerbaijan, stressed the low level of car sales last year. He added that persons engaged in the sale of used cars in the capital, note that the main advantage in the market is given to such car models as Mercedes, Hyundai, Toyota.
