September 14, Fineko/abc.az. The unemployment rate in Azerbaijan has decreased to 5.51%.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the data of the State Statistics Committee as of September 1, 2023.

The unemployment rate in the country a month ago was 5.53%, and at the beginning of the year - 5.64%.

As of September 1, 2023, the number of economically active population was 5,237,500 people, including 4,948,900 employed people.

As of September 1, 2023, 288,600 people were registered as unemployed (289,100 unemployed persons as of August 1, 2023).

As of August 1, 2023, the number of employees reached 1,706,500 people, including 891,700 people employed in the public sector and 814,800 people employed in the non–state sector of the economy. 31,600 people are employed in the oil & gas sector, and 1,674,900 people in the non-oil sector.
