August 23, Fineko/abc.az. Representatives of a number of leading Israeli companies - FinCom.Co, Raycom, CySource and Sensorz  have visited Azerbaijan at the initiative of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency.

The Agency told ABC.AZ that as part of the visit, a meeting was held between the Innovation and Digital Development Agency and representatives of these Israeli companies, as well as the venture fund AnD Ventures.

The meetings with the Israeli guests were attended by IDDA Deputy Chairman Inara Valiyeva, Advisor to the Chairman Shahin Aliyev, Lucas Tsitsis, Head of International Business Development at the Agency, and Head of Innovation Igor Ovcharenko.

During the meeting, the guests were informed about the benefits created by the law on the technopark residence, and that Azerbaijan is the right choice in using the ICT potential of the Eurasian market. It was noted that with the support of the Agency, appropriate conditions have been created  for companies wishing to obtain the right to residency to establish a branch or a representative office in Azerbaijan.

During the meetings, the delegation members received answers to their questions from representatives of Israeli companies about the personnel potential in Azerbaijan and existing opportunities in the local and Eurasian ecosystem.

The Israeli delegation expressed its satisfaction with the acquaintance with the general ICT environment of Azerbaijan and the positive results of the business meetings.

As part of the visit, the Israeli delegation met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Azerbaijan George Deek.
