For seven months of 2023, the number of economically active population reached 5,231,900 people, of which 4,942,800 people are employed.

According to ABC.AZ, as of July 1 of this year, the number of employed reached 1,725,500 people, including 894,200 people in the public sector of the economy and 831,300 people in the non-state sector. 31,600 people worked in the oil and gas sector of the economy, and 1,693,900 people worked in the non-oil and gas sector.

The average monthly number of hours worked per employee in January-June of this year was 143.1 hours.
