Fine to be taken for late provision of info to car recycling operator

July 27, Fineko/abc.az. Sellers who fail to provide a discount on a new car to owners of recycled vehicles when buying a new car will be fined.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the amendment to the Code of Administrative Misconduct, approved by President Ilham Aliyev.

According to the draft amendment, a fine of 4,000 manats will be imposed for the refusal of the seller of the vehicle to apply a discount to a new vehicle on the basis of a document confirming the disposal of the motor vehicle.

At that, according to the draft, 500 manats will be fined for failure to take into account the verification documents issued by the seller of the vehicle in accord with the Law on Waste, or for late provision of written information about the supporting documents to the operator for the disposal of the car.

Also, in connection with the failure of the utilizer to provide the operator for the disposal of vehicles with written information on the sale of spare parts of materials and items received from the disposed vehicles to economic entities engaged in the processing and sale of spare parts, in the manner and within the time limits envisaged by the Law on Waste, officials will be fined 300 manats and legal entities for 600 manats.

This provision of the law comes into force on September 1, 2024.
