July 3, Fineko/abc.az. In the 2nd quarter of 2023, Tesla's global shipments increased by 83%, helped by a sharp decline in prices for electric vehicles and significant discounts on their sale.
ABC.AZ reports that from April to June Tesla sold a record number of cars for the quarter - more than 466,000 cars.
Tesla shares fell by almost 10% in April after the company announced that its profit for Q1 was lower than forecast due to lower prices for electric cars.
Tesla founder Elon Musk then confirmed company's willingness to receive lower profits in order to increase market share due to lower car prices.
