June 20, Fineko/abc.az. As of June 1, 2023, the number of the unemployed registered by local bodies of the State Employment Service amounted to 250,100 people, including 32.5% of women, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Statistics Committee.

The average monthly amount of unemployment insurance payments amounted to 402.6 manats.

The largest number of unemployed in the country is in Baku (49,000 people), Karabakh Economic Region (31,421 people), Lankaran-Astara Economic Region (21,660 people), Sheki-Zagatala economic region (20,005 people).

The least number of unemployed is 94 people in Nakhchivan, including 80 people in Babek district, 45 people in Julfa district, 37 people in Sadarak district, and 24 people in Shahbuz district.
