June 20, Fineko/abc.az. In Azerbaijan, doctors will be prohibited from prescribing commercial prescription drugs.

ABC.AZ reports that Deputy Health Minister Rasim Ismailov stated about this at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Healthcare.

Deputy minister says that today, according to the current legislation, antibiotics are dispensed by prescription, but this requirement is not met:

"I think that with the help of an electronic recipe, many shortcomings will be eliminated. Without registration, a prescription will not be issued for any medication. A doctor will not be able to prescribe commercial prescription drugs, even if he wants to."
