June 20, Fineko/abc.az. A modern civil service system has been formed in Azerbaijan, the necessary steps have been taken to improve professionalism and strengthen the social protection of civil servants.

ABC.AZ reports that as of January 1, 2023, the number of civil servants in the country was 27,100 people, including 29.4% of women.

7.1% of civil servants held senior administrative positions in state bodies on the 3rd classification, 3.5% on the 4th, 11.3% on the 5th, 8.3% on the 6th, 47.1% on the 7th and 22.7% on auxiliary positions of the civil service.

7.9% of civil servants have work experience of up to 1 year, 24.1% from 1 to 5 years, 22.9% from 5 to 10 years, 18.4% from 10 to 15 years and 26.7% from 15 years or more.

The average monthly nominal salary of civil servants in 2022 increased by 40.1% compared with the previous year up to 1,785.1 manats.
