June 12, Fineko/abc.az. Last year, more than 2,600 people were trained in professional skills, and more than 1,500 people were trained in digital tachograph.
ABC.AZ reports that Land Transport Agency’s chairman of board Anar Rzayev made the above-said statement.
He also revealed Transport Agency’s goals for 2023, guided by the mission to ensure the creation of a safe, efficient and environmentally sustainable land transport system that will improve people's lives and contribute to the country's economy.
"Among the main goals are commissioning of new components of Agency’s information system, development of a public transport transformation concept, introduction of rules for issuing permits for international road transport, issuance of more than 4,000 tachograph cards to drivers and carriers engaged in international transportation. Increase in the share of tickets sold online on regular bus routes through portal biletim.az, holding a competition for 100 lots for intercity transportation and the start of an intra-city (intra-district) competition, creation of cash registers in points that are not bus stations (or terminals), continuous improvement of functioning of the bus station system are priorities of 2023," Rzayev stressed.
