May 24, Fineko/abc.az. France has banned domestic flights on routes where the same journey can be done by train within two and a half hours, ABC.AZ reports with reference to Turkish edition Resmî Gazete.

It was stressed that the ban will be in effect for 3 years.

In a written statement, country's Transport Minister  Clément Beaune said that in accordance with the aforementioned decree, flights between Nantes, Bordeaux, Lyon and Paris-Orly are prohibited.

Beaune noted that this decision is a key step in the policy of reducing carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere.
