May 15, Fineko/abc.az. Those wishing to use Starlink satellite services in Azerbaijan, owned by American company SpaceX, will have to pay $9 (15.3 manats) for pre-order.
ABC.AZ reports that Starlink aims to render services on the territory of Azerbaijan from 2023.
The agency noted that the start of work depends on the approval of the regulatory authority, and stated that it will provide services on the principle of "first come, first served".
On May 9, an agreement on the provision of Starlink Internet services in Azerbaijan was signed between space agency Azerkosmos (under the Ministry of Digital Development & Transport) and SpaceX. The document was signed by Azerkosmos’ chairman of board Samaddin Asadov and Space X’s president and chief operating officer Gwynne Shotwell.
