May 2, Fineko/abc.az. The Cabinet Ministers has decided to restrict the import of passenger cars into the territory of Azerbaijan, the release date of which exceeds 10 years.

Under the decision, the plant has restricted the import of automobiles in Azerbaijan, the age of which exceeds 10 years by the release date. The decision came into force on March 29, 2023. However, until this period, including March 29, 2023, citizens are allowed to import into the country cars older than 10 years, ordered from abroad, paid for and concluded under a contract.

ABC.AZ reports that footage appeared on social networks showing the situation at customs on the day of the expiration of the specified permit.

In the video, the interlocutor said that at least 4,000 cars remained in the customs parking lot.

He says that thousands of cars are waiting in line and in the parking lot of mall "Mayveli", as there is no place in the parking lot of the State Customs Committee.
