Public procurement of Windows stops in Russia

April 27, Fineko/abc.az. Government customers in Russia have almost completely stopped purchasing operating system Microsoft Windows.

ABC.AZ reports that 57 million rubles ($695,000) were spent on it in 2022 (82% less than in 2021).

In the 1st quarter of 2023, only one such purchase for 31,000 rubles ($378) took place.

In 2021, government customers made 81 purchases of Astra Linux for 92 million rubles ($1,122), 18 purchases of RED OS for 10 million rubles ($122,000). In 2022, 228 purchases of Astra Linux for 1.398 bn rubles ($17.05 million) and 33 purchases of RED OS for 44 million rubles ($537,000).

This year, there were 50 transactions on Astra Linux, the amount was 57 million rubles ($695,000), on RED OS, three transactions were made for 11.9 million rubles ($145,000).
