March 10, Fineko/abc.az. American corporation Boeing plans to build a factory in India for remodeling of passenger planes into cargo planes.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to company's development director Mark Allen.
Allen says that this enterprise will replenish Boeing's supply chain from India worth $1 billion and help this country become a global center of cargo transportation. However, he did not disclose any details about when the facility will be created and what the size of the investment will be.
The initiative to create the plant appeared amid Boeing's desire to expand its presence in India. In February, the company said it planned to invest $24 billion to create a logistics center for aircraft parts. Air India has also placed a record order for almost 500 aircraft worth more than $100 billion from Boeing and Airbus.
