February 10, Fineko/abc.az. About 700 people lost their jobs in Ganja in 2022.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the Ganja City Statistical Department, the number of hired employees (that is, under an official employment contract) in this city from January to November 2022 amounted to 45,721 people.

Of them, 28,840 people (62.3%) work in the public sector, and 17,241 people (37.7%) work in the non-state sector. In other words, 2 out of every 3 people working in Ganja are civil servants.

This proportionality, inherent in most districts of the country, is an indicator that the private sector is not developing properly and cannot provide a large number of jobs.
