December 13, Fineko/abc.az. As of 1 November 2022, the number of employees in the country increased by 27,200 people or 1.6% (versus Jan-Oct 2021) and reached 1,729,300 people.

ABC.AZ reports that of them, 900,400 people work in the public sector and 828,900 people in the private sector.

Of the employees, 19.2% are employed in education, 18.6% in trade, repair of vehicles, 12.8% in industry, 8.2% in health care and provision of social services to the population, 7.3% in construction, 6.5% in public administration and defense; social security, 4.3% in transport and warehousing, 3.6% - agriculture, forestry and fisheries, 3.5% - professional, scientific and technical activities, 2% - financial and insurance activities, 14% - other sectors of the economy.
