July 18, Fineko/abc.az. American coffee chain Starbucks is exploring the possibility of selling the business in the UK "because of high competition and changed consumer preferences" due to the pandemic.

ABC.AZ reports that one of the main reasons for the possible departure of Starbucks is the growing competition from rivals such as Pret A Manger, Tim Hortons and Costa, a number of other operators. In total, there are more than 25,000 coffee shops in the UK.

On 23 May, Starbucks announced its decision to withdraw from the Russian market after 15 years of operation in connection with the events around Ukraine. There were more than 100 chain cafes in Russia.
