June 23, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of non-cash payments in Azerbaijan reached AZN 1.8 bn.

In particular, there is an increase in payments through e-commerce, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank.

In the period from January to May 2022, the non-cash payments for AZN 11 million were made through ATMs, for AZN 2.1 bn through POS-terminals, for AZN 5.8 bn through e-commerce.

Over Jan-May 2021 the non-cash payments were made through ATMs for AZN 19 million, through POS terminals – for AZN 1.437 bn, through e-commerce – for AZN 2.4 bn.

So, non-cash payments through e-commerce grew 2.9-fold.

In May, the non-cash payments via e-commerce totaled AZN 1.37 bn, which is the highest monthly volume.
