May 19, Fineko/abc.az. Russia has developed a laser weapon capable of effectively destroying unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at a distance of up to 5 km in 5 seconds.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-said statement was made by Russian Deputy PM Yuri Borisov.

"We’ve developed and practically mass-produce laser systems that have large capacities, and already allow for thermal damage of various means," Borisov stressed.
