April 19, Fineko/abc.az. The drug sold in Azerbaijan for 112 manats is bought in Turkey for 17 manats, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the social networks.
Although the prices of certain medicines in Azerbaijan are set by the Tariff Council, the prices of many medicines are not regulated.
This leads to dissatisfaction due to the fact that some drugs are sold expensive in pharmacies. Thus, the prices of these drugs are noticeably higher than in neighboring countries.
The State Service for Antimonopoly Control & Consumer Market Supervision informs that any increase in prices for medicines regulated by the Tariff Council is unacceptable.
