February 11, Fineko/abc.az. Taxi activity in our country will be formed on the basis of new rules.

ABC.AZ reports that this was reflected in the presidential decree on improvement of transport management in the administrative territory of Baku.

Experts consider that the new rules can eliminate shortcomings in this area, and the innovation will also have positive impact on drivers' incomes.

Traffic expert Arshad Huseynov said that the increase in demand for taxis during the pandemic exacerbated the chaotic situation in this sphere.

He added that the legislation should regulate the rules related to taxi activity.

The expert said that the rules under which taxi companies insure drivers have reduced the service in this area to the level of public transport services.

Huseynov emphasized that the issue of drivers' working hours should also be taken under strict control.
