February 10, Fineko/abc.az. American private aerospace company SpaceX will lose about 40 Starlink Internet satellites out of 49 ones launched into orbit on 3 February as a result of a geomagnetic storm, ABC.AZ reports with reference to company's information posted on Twitter account.

"Preliminary analysis shows that increased resistance at low altitudes prevented them from leaving the safe mode to begin maneuvers to raise the orbit, and up to 40 satellites will re-enter or have already entered the Earth's atmosphere," the report says.

Currently, the SpaceX orbital satellite constellation consists of more than 2,000 spacecrafts, each of which weighs 290 kg.
