February 8, Fineko/abc.az. Automaker Daimler AG will henceforth be called Mercedes-Benz Group AG.

ABC.AZ reports that the organizational and administrative structure of the group was changed earlier.

At the beginning of last December, Daimler experienced a split into two independent companies. Cars and vans have since been called Mercedes-Benz, and trucks and buses - Daimler Truck.

The fact is that the production of trucks and passenger cars are two completely different businesses, while the brand with the famous Mercedes star will be used to maintain the attractiveness of products in the sales market.
