February 7, Fineko/abc.az. Apple plans to replace Bluetooth with the patented technology of wireless optical audio transmission in AirPods Pro 2 headphones.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the foreign media that the augmented reality headset, which Apple plans to release in 2022, will act as a sound source.
Optical audio transmission provides higher bandwidth than Bluetooth.
The technology works only at short distances, so an additional Bluetooth module will be installed in the system.
