February 3, Fineko/abc.az. The Food & Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has published an index of world food prices for January.

ABC.AZ informs that the index, which fell in December, began to grow again in January. The FAO food price index in January grew by 1.1% on a monthly basis and by 19.6% on an annual basis.

So, in January, the index rose to 135.7 points. An increase in the sub-indices of vegetable fats and dairy products in January led to an increase in the index.
