January 10, Fineko/abc.az. Georgia continues negotiations with Azerbaijan about the restoration of passenger transportation by rail.
ABC.AZ reports that Georgian Railways CEO David Peradze stated about this in an interview for Forbes magazine.
He said that the exact time of the resumption of train movement between Baku and Tbilisi will be announced later.
The movement of passenger trains between the capitals of Georgia and Azerbaijan has been suspended since 14 March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. In 2021, Georgia resumed passenger carriages by rail only in the direction of Armenia.
