January 7, Fineko/abc.az. By 1 June 2022 the proposals will be prepared for gradual change of excise rates with the purpose to restrict the import and use of obsolete vehicles, the operation of which is considered eco-harmful, to stimulate imports, sales in the country of vehicles with high environmental and safe characteristics, as well as their turnover.

ABC.AZ reports that this issue is reflected in the "Roadmap for 2022 for conducting assessments, preparing proposals and their implementation in connection with stimulating and encouraging the use of eco-friendly vehicles."

The preparation of relevant proposals is entrusted to the State Customs Committee, the Ministries of Economy (including the State Tax Service, the Antimonopoly Service and the State Service for Supervision of the Consumer Market) and of Finance.
