Azerbaijan observes sharp growth on production of medicines

November 18, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan manufactured pharmaceutical products for AZN 8.6 million for Jan-Oct 2021 (90.2% more versus Jan-Oct 2020), ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee.
 
In connection with the pandemic, there has been an increase in the production of this output since the beginning of 2020. The manufacture in this area increased sharply in May, and the growth continued in the following months. 
 
At the end of the year the production was 10.7-fold more against the same period of last year.
In January 2021, the manufacture also increased by 10.4 times compared with the same period of 2020. In the following months growth was recorded by 9.6 times, 7.3 times, 6 times, 4.4 times, 3.1 times, 88.3%, 62.1% and 88.8%, respectively.
