November 3, Fineko/abc.az. Transfers of individuals to countries with preferential taxation (offshore) will be taxed at a rate of 10% at the source of payment.
ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the proposed draft amendment to the Tax Code. In other words, payments made directly or indirectly by permanent representations of residents and non-residents in Azerbaijan to individuals established (registered) in countries subject to preferential taxation, including branches or representative offices in other countries, as well as to bank accounts in countries subject to preferential taxation, will be taxed at source at a rate of 10%.
