November 3, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is likely to increase the excise tax on alcoholic beverages in compliance with the proposed amendments to the Tax Code. ABC.AZ reports that the innovation will affect alcohol, spirits and cognac, excise taxes for each liter of which will increase by 80 gapiks. The corresponding articles in the Code will look like this: 190.3.1. per liter of drinking alcohol (including non-denatured ethyl alcohol containing at least 80% alcohol; non-denatured ethyl alcohol containing less than 80% alcohol) - (currently amounts to 3.2 manats) 4.0 manats; 190.3.2. vodka, spirits and spirits materials, liqueur and liqueur products – 4.0 manats per liter (currently 3.2 manats); 190.3.3. cognac and cognac materials – 4.0 manats per liter (currently 3.2 manats).
