October 18, Fineko/abc.az. The consumer price index (CPI) in China made up 0.6% for the first 3 quarters of this year.
ABC.AZ reports that for Jan-Sept the prices in the country's cities increased by 0.7% and in rural areas by 0.4%.
Prices for foods, alcohol and tobacco increased by 0.5% in the 1st half of the year.
At that, the cost of pork - one of the key elements of the consumer basket in China - decreased by 28% year-on-year. Grain prices rose by 1%, fresh fruits by 2.7%, and vegetables by 1.3%.
Services in the field of transport and communications for the first 3 quarters increased in price by 3.3% and in the field of education, culture and recreation by 1.6%. Prices for healthcare services grew by 0.3%.
According to the report, in September the inflation in China was 0.7% (0.1% lower than in August).
