Taxable amount of tobacco products has increased sharply

May 27, Fineko/abc.az. The main driver of economic growth in Azerbaijan is the transformation from the oil sector to the non-oil sector.

ABC.AZ reports that Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov wrote about this on his Twitter page.

Jabbarov noted that for Jan-Mar 2021 the taxable amount of tobacco products by manufacturers grew by 94.1% versus Jan-Mar 2020:

"The turnover of tobacco manufacturers increased by 82.4%. The amount of excise taxes paid is 54.1% more than in the previous year."
