Rules for entering territory of Turkey with an ID

March 18, Fineko/abc.az. Since 1 April citizens of Azerbaijan and Turkey can also make mutual visits using biometric IDs and stay in the country for 90 days.

ABC.AZ reports that State Migration Service’s head Vusal Huseynov has commented on the occasion.

He noted that in this case, the documents for crossing the border belonging to citizens of both countries - an ID or a general civil passport (passport), must have a validity period of at least 30 days from the date of entry into the country.

"The use of general civil passports for entry into the territory of both countries from third (other) countries and into the territory of third (other) countries from the territory of Azerbaijan or Turkey is mandatory. A citizen of Azerbaijan or Turkey who wants to stay in the territory of the country of arrival for more than 90 days for any reason must apply for a residence permit, providing a passport that is valid for at least 60 days longer than required," Huseynov emphasized.
