December 18, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan has warned those wishing to hold a mass event in connection with the New Year.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the MIA, during the period of the special quarantine regime in the country, the public catering facilities, including restaurants, cafes and tea shops, can operate only on the basis of providing delivery services or online sales.

"Recently, public catering establishments, including restaurants and entertainment centers, have announced the organization and holding of celebrations on the occasion of 31 December - the Day of Solidarity of Azerbaijanis of the World and the New Year.

"We draw your attention to the fact that the organization and holding of mass celebrations and concerts is unacceptable in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infection. We urge citizens not to trust such announcements and invitations to participate in such mass events and to comply with the rules of the special quarantine regime.

Attempts to organize and hold mass events, fun, and concert programs during the special quarantine regime will be strongly suppressed. If such facts are revealed, the organizers and participants will be held accountable in accordance with the law," the Ministry informed.
