December 11, Fineko/abc.az. At today’s plenary session Milli Majlis considered the draft amendments to the Labor Code, submitted for discussion in the 1st reading.

ABC.AZ reports that at the meeting Musa Guliyev, the chairman of the Committee on Labor & Social Policy, noted that the proposed changes to the Code are based on the presidential orders on the establishment of the Memorial Day in Azerbaijan (the order from 2 December 2020) and on the establishment of the Victory Day in Azerbaijan (the order from 3 December 2020).

According to the draft amendments, November 8 – Victory Day is added to the list of public holidays and refers to public holidays that are non-working.

"September 27, the Day of Memory of the martyrs who died for the liberation of the occupied lands is the Day of Remembrance in Azerbaijan. This day is considered a working day," the MP said.

After discussions the draft amendments to the Code were adopted in the 1st reading.
