December 9, Fineko/abc.az. Since 10 December the import of tomatoes and apples of Azerbaijani origin to Russia is prohibited.
ABC.AZ reports that the relevant decision was made by Rosselkhoznadzor in order to preserve the phytosanitary well-being, prevent the import and spread of pests on the territory of the Russian Federation.
Experts believe that this will affect the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia.
Economists believe that the turnover will decrease due to the fact that tomatoes occupy one of the main places in Azerbaijan's exports to Russia.
