June 16, Fineko/abc.az. In May 2020 Azerbaijan's imports exceeded its exports. The currency that came in from exports in May was not enough for imports this month.

ABC.AZ was informed at the State Customs Committee that imports from Azerbaijan in May amounted to $782.529 million and exports $665.5 million.

As imports exceeded exports, there was a negative balance of $117.24 million.

For comparison, in April Azerbaijan's exports amounted to $2.99 bn and imports $745.2 million. Thus, compared with April, exports decreased in May, while imports increased.
